ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Bolívar
The municipality of Ciudad Bolívar is known as "Capital of the Southwest of Antioquia" This municipality has been called Ciudad Bolívar since 1962. Its economy is reliant on agriculture, coffee is the mainstay crop for the region. The people of this municipality have managed to position the area as an important centre for urban and rural.
The climate is ideal for coffee, the high altitude has temperatures ranging from 16-24ºC with roughly 2100 – 2400mm of rainfall per annum. The temperature range ensures slow maturing of the coffee cherries, a significant contributor to the bean’s flavours. The soil is rich and volcanic, again ideal for coffee.
