COMPANY BACKGROUND
Cofi-Com was founded in 1987 by Andrew Mackay and a business partner after working for a large coffee and tea commodity company in Sydney. The business started out of a warehouse in Seven Hills and grew based on Andrew’s personal philosophy of competitively priced, quality green coffee and strong belief in personal service. In 2003, Cofi-Com was acquired by Volcafe, the coffee trading arm of E&DF Man. Cofi-Com today operates from two sites in Sydney, our Head Office in West Ryde and Quality Lab in Huntingwood.

Founder of Cofi-Com and principal trader. The business is built on Andrew’s origin expertise, stewarding the business through market ups and downs and his longstanding relationships with growers and traders worldwide. Andrew is highly regarded for his professionalism and knowledge. In 2020, Andrew's contribution to the industry was recognised by being honoured as a Life Member of the Australian Coffee Traders Association
Joseph Taweel - General Manager

Joe joined CofiCom in 2011 as our Chief Accountant before becoming Operations Manager. In 2021, Joe became General Manager, overseeing all of CofiCom's activities from logistics, warehousing, the ever important finances to coffee buying and sourcing. Since November 2022, Joe is the Chairman of the Australian Coffee Traders Association, an organisation that represents all aspects of the Australian coffee industry.
Joe is also an accredited Q Grader.
Geraldine Abberton - National Sales/Logistics Manager

Geraldine is a core member of our team responsible for orders, sales/stock management. Her administrative experience and knowledge play a key part in the smooth running of the business. Geraldine also manages our customer support team.
Dariusz Lewandowski - Operations and Trading Manager – Coffee

With extensive coffee experience in Indonesia, Dariusz joined Cofi-Com in 2011. A frequent visitor to key origins, his expertise is invaluable for our speciality sourcing/trading as well as operational aspects of our business such as blending and equipment.
John Russell Storey - Marketing Manager
Quality Lab Huntingwood
With extensive coffee experience in the UK and Australia, John’s main role is marketing and trading. A qualified Q Grader in 2016, he works closely with Dariusz building our specialty customer base.
